Marron Glacé. S.L. was one of the first canning factories in Spain to preserve turnip greens. They are produced with extreme care in a manual way, using the most modern canning systems. This turnip tips are really delicious.
The turnip greens are the green part of the turnip. The leaves. They are eaten in most countries but specially in the territory of Galicia, northwest of Spain.
The leaves are intense green and full of fibre, high in water, carbohidrates and vey low in calories.
They are liked for its bitter taste and appreciated for its properties.
They are eaten in Galicia with the half cured and smoked front leg of pork (Lacón) and the galicia sausages, (chorizos), but can acompany any meat or fish dish or be prepared in a delicious soup (Caldo de grelos)
They have been growned in Galicia since ancient times.
